Introduce Yourself to the Teacher
This is your first step asas an online teacher. Head to the teacher space and introduce yourself. Include:
Your name and location
Your teaching background or experience
Your teaching goals (short-term and long-term)
Your chosen path: Abroad, Online, or Hybrid (online training but planning to teach abroad)
Why this matters:
Community support is crucial. You are not doing this alone. Experienced teachers, newbies, and those in your target countries will provide advice, share experiences, and celebrate your milestones. Your introduction is your first networking step—it may lead to advice on schools, platforms, or even first teaching opportunities.
Whether you plan to teach online or abroad, money is an essential part of your preparation.
Open a dedicated savings account if you don’t already have one.
Start small if needed: ask relatives for birthday/Christmas contributions and put it in your account.
This is not about the amount yet—it’s about making a commitment to prepare financially for your teaching journey.
Tips:
Teaching online may require equipment (camera, mic, lights), stable internet, teaching software subscriptions, and optional marketing costs.
Example target for early preparation: at least $300–$500 if starting online and gradually upgrading equipment or marketing tools.
At this stage, don’t stress about exact hourly rates or salary comparisons—this will be covered in Week 3 and again in Week 10 during online/abroad business checks.
Now just think about this today and post your introduction, wait until tomorrow to move onto day 2.
